Stuff

This is the page where I used to list out all the stuff -- guitars, amps, pedals, whatever -- that I have in the studio. Truth be told, I like stuff as much as the next guy (maybe more) but it doesn't make me a better player. In fact, sometimes I think it makes me less a player because I'm spending time figuring out "stuff".

I'm thinking the "good stuff" are the few books, CDs, or lessons that provide a platform to grow. Check out Dave Styker's new book on jazz improvisation or the play alongs at Jamie Aebersolds. If you are into finger-picking blues, check out Stefan Grossman's stuff.

Current gear: Andy Powers Custom, American Archtop non-cutaway, Santa Cruz OO-M, Collings I-35 Deluxe, Carr Rambler Amp, Axe-Fx.

Studio rig: Logic Pro 8 (laptop and desktop) with an Apogee Rosetta (Duet for laptop) and the NI Komplete instruments. Allen & Health Mix Wizard 3, a few nice mics, Presonus Anthony DeMaria Pre-amp, FocusRite Liquid Channel.
